not waiting

my dad shared with me today a lesson he said has taken his whole life to learn.

don't wait around.

he's right. and it seems really simple. but it's something i do too often. it's completely draining. and hearing him say that reminded me of how important it is not to do it. don't wait for life to happen. don't wait for people to be who you need them to be. don't wait for the answers to come to you. get on with life in the meantime. then waiting isn't waiting, it's experiencing.
